Now this is news
In fact, it's unprecedented. Maybe he'll fire himself.
WASHINGTON (AP) -- President Bush said Tuesday that "I take responsibility" for failures in dealing with Hurricane Katrina and said the disaster raised broader questions about the government's ability to respond to natural disasters as well as terror attacks.
"Katrina exposed serious problems in our response capability at all levels of government," Bush said at joint White House news conference with the president of Iraq.
"To the extent the federal government didn't fully do its job right, I take responsibility," Bush said.
Looks like he wasn't too happy about it, either.

Ah, but now for the Bush caveat - he will determine that it was not the fault of the federal government, but the state and local government. Don't forget how he has danced around Plamegate.

He couldn't say much different because CNN caught him with his pants down and all the world already knew it,so to say otherwise would have made it worse. But,yes, now comes the "buck passing" to Louisiana goverment.
