When will it end?

U.S. military spokesman Lt. Col. Christopher Garver, acknowledging that the security crackdown in Baghdad might increase attacks outside the capital, April 8, 2007:

You have the enemy trying to show it is still strong and able to move and stir fear in the population. We anticipated a movement of enemy forces and violence to the north, south, east and west of Baghdad.

Rummy, asked where the WMD were, March 30, 2003:

We know where they are. They're in the area around Tikrit and Baghdad and east, west, south and north somewhat.

I heard the "We anticipated a movement of enemy forces and violence to the north, south, east and west of Baghdad" quote on the radio and through the magical of google I was looking for the source.

The Google-gods led me to your blog.

I thought of that exact Rummy quote too.

It's crazy how something like that just slips by. I'm glad you stopped it, pinned it down, and pointed it out.
