Specter, as chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee, has been threatening to exercise some oversight of the White House on the issue of illegal warrantless eavesdropping on Americans' phone calls and other power grabs. Cheney went behind Specter's back to negotiate with other Republicans on the committee. Now Specter's taking action. He wrote Cheney a letter. What a toothless, worthless piece of shit.
