Ron Hutcheson of Knight Ridder explains how W uses them to claim unchecked power to ignore laws he doesn't want to obey. He has zero constitutional authority to do so. When will Congress impose some oversight on these megalomaniacs? It won't happen with a GOP majority. And don't expect a Supreme Court full of Justice Samuel Alitos to rein them in.
