More Abramoff shenanigans

A tangled web, AP reports. This is downright alarming:

[Italia] Federici helped [Interior Secretary Gale] Norton raise money for an unsuccessful bid for a Senate seat in Colorado and she, [Grover] Norquist and Norton formed CREA in 1999 as a tax-exempt organization highlighting Republican ideas for the environment.

Such ideas include the Healthy Forests Initiative -- i.e., cutting down all the trees -- and the Clear Skies Initiative -- relaxing pollution controls. More here.
