Brian Schweitzer has an idea
Schweitzer is the Democratic governor of the red -- or maybe green -- state of Montana. Markos loves this guy. (In fact, there's a diary just up about this we haven't read yet.) In this op-ed in The New York Times, Schweitzer pitches an idea -- synthetic fuels made from coal -- so obviously simple and environmentally friendly, it's easy to think the oil companies have nixed it, which they did. It's time to revisit this path to energy independence.
